This photo of Robert Bloch is the most writer photo to have ever writer photo’d. It is Pure Writer Photo.

It's a good thing Christian Bale didn't play Jeffrey. He would've eaten all that candy and ruined his teeth and gotten the cavities filled onscreen.

So now will the evangelicals admit they've been bamboozled by a godless heathen?

President Trump tells reporters aboard Air Force One that he doesn’t think he’s going to get into heaven.

“I don’t think there’s anything that’s going to get me into heaven.”

(I isolated Trump’s voice)

Father Larry Dowling dropped the most damning statement I think I've ever seen from a catholic on this whole situation (save for the Pope's words on it):
A quote from Father Larry Dowling's post about being denied access to detainees. It reads "No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ."

Yeah Jeffrey was in enough trouble as it was without burning down a dentist’s office. They’d already gotten enough on him anyway. All it did was add on to his prison sentence lol

One funny thing about Roofman is that Channing Tatum’s Jeffrey has to go to the dentist because eating too much candy has rotted his teeth. This is something that turns out to be important so it needs to be in the movie. But when we see Tatum’s teeth, he’s got perfect movie star teeth.

I will never understand with all the data Disney has access to that they thought Jared Leto could headline a major release in 2025. I’ve always thought studios should have random normal people around the country they can go to for basic advice about movie production strategy and this proves it

Haven’t heard anything! Going to look it up now!

If you factor King out and use the Judge Dredd and Total Recall remakes as a comparison, The Running Man might have a problem (I’m still not sure if Powell’s a box office draw or not.)!

The best Dracula movie is Blood for Dracula because at the end he’s killed by a working class communist

The only current release I’m really interested in seeing right now is Mega Doc and that’s going to have to wait for streaming.

Normally I’ll want any movie to do well at the box office because it benefits theaters, but Tron: Ares crashing and burning . . .

NW Werewolf of London (1935) maybe not one of the better Universal horrors but I’ve always liked the werewolf design.
Issue 115 of Famous Monsters of Filmland with the Werewolf of London on the cover, also featuring articles on Phantom of the Paradise and the history of Jekyll and Hyde

Who would have thought that Ron Mael not only has immaculate taste but immaculate reasoning too. This is a beaut of a read from start to finish.

"The Who were charming to me when they were writing more situational songs. They didn’t necessarily concern world shattering issues, but instead really beautiful, miniature statements. [and] I love the artwork with the Heinz Baked Beans."

The Who Sell Out album cover. Pete Townshend has a giant deodorant under his arm and Roger Daltrey is sat in a tub filled with baked beans whilst holding a Heinz can. He also has baked beans on his face, clearly indicating that he has been eating them.

Ben Shapiro: “The basic suggestion is a conspiracy theory in which the United States is run by white supremacist Christian nationalists” um yeah, Ben, it kinda is.

I am so sick of living in a world where certain groups insist art & culture be re-oriented to serve their tastes and whims when their own pitiful inability or unwillingness to critically engage with and contemplate creativity clearly demonstrate that art & culture are too good for them.
Conservatives Take Aim at ‘One Battle After Another’: “Year’s Most Irresponsible Movie”
While Paul Thomas Anderson's film is being heralded as a masterpiece by many, some conservatives accuse it of potentially inspiring left-wing violence.

I like it quite a bit as a picture of the sixties counterculture at its abject end, though Texas Chainsaw Massacre did it better and I can see it not having much appeal to younger horror fans

What do you think is Wes Craven’s best film that isn’t part of the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET or SCREAM franchises?

I feel like everyone will have a different answer and that’s really interesting to me.
