"Why am I addicted to this shit?" I say, as I keep scrolling.
My personal tip: mute and block like it's a goddamn all-you-can-eat buffet and you've been stranded in the desert for a month.

I honestly can't believe no youtubers made a video about René Magritte with this exact thumbnail non-ironically yet.
Then again I'm not going to force anyone to stop using vim, I know how passionate some people can be. I'm just saying I tried it before, hated every minute of it, and never want to touch it again lmao
Yeah my actual honest take is that I don't understand why people still voluntarily use vim or emacs or any other modal text editor in 2025 because no other software made to write text works that way anymore, not to mention it was never intuitive to begin with. At least nano feels like notepad.
Honestly, good job, you legit had me for the first couple paragraphs! xD
Is it bad that I looked where they're located and I immediately said out loud "of course it's Florida"...
Oh yeah, 100%. It works fine, but as soon as you need to do something that's slightly out of scope, it instantly becomes irritating.

If you have a background in IT or something, it's very possible to fully make the switch, but even I had to do it bit by bit over the course of 2+ years.
Of course, if you're the type to download and run "sexyladies.exe" from some random website, then maybe you need your OS to be up to date all the time, and also be locked out of admin rights.
I guess most people don't have infosec training, but sometimes it's downright patronizing.

I was looking for the last Firefox that runs on Win 98, and the only place that gave me an actual answer is a retro computing forum. All other places including Reddit were only screaming at OP about viruses.
My unpopular opinion is; if you're using a modern router and block/turn off unnecessary stuff, you literally have to infect yourself voluntarily, no matter what OS you're using.

Like, you can technically be infected without your knowledge but the stars have to align perfectly for that to happen.
By the way, I hate that I have to pretty much bury my head in the sand here, but getting mad and knowing you can do nothing about it doesn't help in any way. It's actually harmful.

I just want to see funny memes and cool art so I can continue being creative in a world that wants me dead.
To protect my sanity and avoid posts that regularly just make me mad and depressed, and without having to downright leave this place, I started muting words. But it sucks that it comes with a huge downside...

I'll never see posts about ice cream ever again 😔🍦
- Nice shirt but... you only ever drink tea.
- Yup, you got that right!! *death stare*
Ah well, that counts, to me at least 😛
Nice case btw haha! It almost has a retro, 60's vibe to it, it's really cool!
Question; why tf is she still there?! 😩
