So I’ve been following an undercover ice vehicle from Franklin Ave South towards the Greenway for the last five minutes or so roughly 12:30 PM central time this is a picture of the vehicle and the inhabitants of the car who opened the window when they saw I was taking photos of them.
Photo of a license plate reading PY352 Minnesota license plate and it is an undercover vehicle Side profile of the undercover vehicle it is a gray SUV Two very tasty ice undercover agents in their undercover vehicle waving to the camera More blurry image of the driver of the vehicle a very, very bald, very angry, looking older gentleman

I grew up in Buffalo NY which is basically just "what if St Paul but more snow" and people there are way more willing to walk places than they are here.

🚨 the new diner (Corner Cafe) at GFS is giving away balloon animals today to celebrate its grand opening 🚨

also, the food is pretty good! a much appreciated addition to the woefully short list of places in this town that do good, simple diner food without a dumb schtick.

zero prevent surprised to read they are roundly abusing greta thunberg while she’s in detention but making her kiss the israeli flag is just sick. what sick people.
"They dragged little Greta [Thunberg] by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her, as a warning to others," the Turkish activist ErsinÇelik, a participant in the Sumud flotilla, told Anadolu news agency. Lorenzo D'Agostino, a journalist and another flotilla participant, said after returning to Istanbul that Thunberg was "wrapped in the Israeli flag and paraded like a trophy" - a scene described with disbelief and anger by those who witnessed it.

they even did curb-level bike lanes by the always-busy Somali mall by 10th Ave to try and reduce driver-cyclist conflict zones! it's slick as hell!

the city is planning similar upgrades on 9th and 10th downtown which means nearly all the worst parts of my commute will likely be protected bike lanes by next year

nice to remember sometimes Minneapolis just builds really nice bike infrastructure that goes totally under the radar because we've normalized it. say hello to the new E. 24th Street through Phillips.
street with two traffic lanes and a concrete-protected, two-way bike lane

korean reporting is nightmarish on the conditions Korean workers were contained in
Their waists and hands were tied together, forcing them to bend down and lick water to drink. The unscreened bathrooms contained only a single sheet to cover their lower bodies. Sunlight barely penetrated through a fist-sized hole, and they were only allowed access to the small yard for two hours. Detained by US immigration authorities for eight days, the workers and their families expressed shock, describing human rights violations and absurdities they could not have imagined as ordinary Koreans living in 2025.

agreed. it's almost certainly true that Kim and other female restauranteurs is/are held to a higher standard than men, but supporting that premise by leaning on quotes from convicted wage thief kim bartmann is quite funny
