Fury Road had the benefit of being a collaboration in the writing phase that focused heavily on storyboards. Miller is a great director and was able to translate the story into a film (a masterpiece), but applying auteur theory to that film missing 40-50% of why it was so good.

Depends. Personally, I think anything over 64 pages can count if the story is a cohesive whole story wise. Though 100ish pages is a good sweet spot for a perfect bound book that can be on a shelf.

DEMONS (1985): one of my absolute faves. not exactly spooky but it is a riot, and feels rife with a lot of ideas that set it apart from any other horror fare while also making it the *most* 80s horror film.

Toxic fandom is not fun. Toxic fansom is basically religion. It is uncritical and dogmatic. I love normal Fandom. It's fun and built on genuine considered engagement with something. Sadly, a lot of people can't tell the obvious difference between the two.

My heroes are all dead Jamaicans. So I have rarely ever been disappointed by people as much as I have lost some respect for them. That being said, this is not shocking at all. Not only are they in the age range to think AI is magic, they seem like the type to find is fascinating on principle.
