I *think* I remember some of what’s coming. I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out!

I definitely still love Fringe. It’s been an exceptional rewatch.
But the real fun is seeing a "classic" episode revisited in this timeline. It's also notable for putting Peter and Lincoln together for a case, which is an unusual but fun pair.
Fringe 4x16: "Nothing As It Seems": We get a bit deeper into the potential goals of David Robert Jones; it's still a bit unclear how that fits with the shapeshifters and experiments with Olivia. #fringe

This is a desecration and an abomination. First he posts an AI video of himself wearing a crown dumping shit on the heads of Americans, then he starts tearing down part of the White House for his Mar-a-Lago style ballroom.
Some things perhaps happen too quickly, but that's the pace of the season, for better or worse.
Babylon 5 4x07: "Epiphanies": It's hard to follow up on the end of the Shadow War; bringing in Bester to reignite aspects of the troubles in Earth Alliance is a good way to do it. And of course, the major decision by Garibaldi and Lyta's growing dissatisfaction. #babylon5
Tensions that have been growing among the Augments come to a head, but not necessarily as one would expect.
Star Trek: Khan 1x07: "I am Marla": Even as the fragile alliance with the Elboreans evolves, major events threaten to undermine everything that Khan holds dear. With only a few episodes left, certain plot and character developments were just a matter of time. #startrek #khan
Of course, it took a lot of convenient storytelling. But even so, the very ending annoyed me. Sure, it means another season, but did we really need more in this locale?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon 3x07: "Solaz del Mar": Before watching the episode, I felt like they had complicated things enough that one more episode wouldn't be able to resolve it all. So I was surprised to see how much they actually did wrap up. #thewalkingdead #daryldixon
Today’s commuting pick:

David Bowie: The Buddha of Suburbia (1993)

From the Brilliant Adventure box set. I had not heard it before, so it was an interesting listen.

The Trump administration is offering $60K in student loan forgiveness as a recruitment tool for ICE, which just proves fighting Biden on student loan relief was never about the loans or “paying your own debt.” It was about who was offering it and who it would’ve helped.
The performances are all solid, though Carter's introduction is a little rough. It's hard to believe it's been almost 30 years since I first watched this.
Stargate SG-1 1x01/1x02: "Children of the Gods": It's been a long time since I watched the series premiere, but it is a reasonably good start to the show. It updates the lore and stakes in some interesting ways, and manages a solid story on a cable television budget. #stargatesg1

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain.

Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow.

Even if Mitsuki has discovered there is more than meets the eye with the aliens. With only one episode left, it feels like there is way too much still left to resolve.
Invasion 3x09: "Homecoming": The writers skip some of the more obvious questions raised by the previous episode, preferring to push the conflict between WDC and Infinitas. Though I have to say, the more we hear from Infinitas, the less sense they make. #invasion

Christian nationalist podcaster Joshua Haymes says Christians must be willing to defend the institution of slavery because the Bible makes it clear that "it is not inherently evil to own another human being." www.peoplefor.org/rightwingwat...
I have a theory that the main female protagonist of Tron: Ares was originally meant to be Quorra. So much of the plot would make far more sense to me. (To get into it would mean getting into spoiler territory, though.)

Misread a Christmas movie title as "My Secret Satan", and now I want to see that movie instead.
Now playing:

Sammy Hagar: The Best of All Worlds Band: The Residency (2025)

We heard this lineup during the tour that came before the residency in Vegas. It was a great show!

Somehow an item that I bought online from Best Buy at the end of September is already outside the return window. In what world do they give you two weeks for a return? It was a gift...we didn't find out until after it was received that the listed specifications on the website were completely wrong.
It's a little frustrated how many subplots never were resolved in The Return, but many of them are covered in The Final Dossier book.
Twin Peaks 2x22: "Beyond Life and Death": At the time, this was the series finale, which left so many of us banging our own heads against the mirror in frustration. But what a finale it was! To this day, there are elements that are still debated and analyzed. #twinpeaks
