The Lord our God has called women to be faithful deacons, priests and bishops since the beginning. There are women in scripture praised for their leadership in the early church.

The rejection of these women following God's call is a sin against God, against the Church, and against all women. ⚓️

Jewish law & Bible scholarship don't think the word in the 10 Commandments for "steal" is about, like, shoplifting.

Look at eg Genesis 40:15, Exodus 21:16 , Deuteronomy 24:7--

the commandment is not to steal people. Don't kidnap.

Lots of weirdness on Episcopalians on Facebook and I had to remove myself from them because I didnt like the way my worst most uncharitable and impatient side came out when reading stuff there.

But fundamentally, Episcopalians are often fun people with our hearts in the right place. So I'm happy!

I didnt have the theological views I have about holy orders being a sacrament and apostolic succession being necessary for valid orders, I still have a problem with the absolute lack of any gatekeeping at all to being a pastor.

I was formed in the Evangelical Free Church of America and their ecclesiology had me never once thinking twice about all these self assigned pastors... that is, until one of my 'pastors' became a cult leader, divorced his wife and married a young women he was the pastor of for years.

Reading book 3 of An Exact Exposition on the Orthodox Faith and boy oh boy no matter how many times and ways I read about the hypostatic union, I continue to be flabbergasted.

Yes, entitled people will percieve any hindrance to their acquiring increasing privileges as an attack on them.

But that doesnt make it true at all.

Most of the people I know who were bullied growing up, myself included, are very compassionate and kind people.
