Trans people have existed since the dawn of human consciousness and we will exist long after the deaths of all the oppressors.

Same time that Pritzker is telling city and state officials to start arresting and prosecuting federal officials for assaulting Illinois citizens.

OT1H, this is clearly really bad.

OTOH, our federalized design might end up being an absolute godsend.

To be clear:

LA County has declared a state of emergency BECAUSE OF the federal government.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.

In losing my animation job and pivoting to another career, I have lost 91% of my gross income. Went from feeling like I was thriving for the first time since moving out of my parents’ to being back under the poverty line. It’s really, really rough out here

This is not a call for pity but more to put into perspective how 2025 has been impacting a lot of artists:

Between losses of sales, wholesale, tariffs, and fewer corporate clients, I have lost 50% of my gross income this year as a full-time graphic designer and artist.

I lived off of those things in middle school.

Mostly because my middle schools kitchen was out of commission for like 3 years.

As you can clearly see your honor they’ve combined peanut butter and jelly into a sandwich, an idea we came up with in 1998

The J.M. Smucker Company, the brand that makes peanut butter and jelly spreads, is suing Trader Joe's over what it says is a copycat version of its Uncrustables sandwiches.

Korol is a US citizen. Her family hasn’t heard from her since she was taken, public charges haven’t been released—what crime did she even commit? 2nd-Degree Woodwinding?—and there has been no explanation for her “renditioning” across state lines.

We’ve moved into a new phase of Trump lawlessness.

A musician, Oriana Korol, was peacefully playing clarinet with her protest band outside ICE facilities in Portland, OR.

When the band started playing “Ghostbusters,” ICE thugs suddenly poured outside, slammed her into the mud, arrested her and took her to a jail 9 miles away in Vancouver, WA.

Remember when Stephen Miller claimed the Chicago apartment raid was on a building “filled with Tren de Aragua terrorists”?

Well, DHS has now dropped the number of alleged TdA members arrested in the building from 2 to 1.
Just one "verified" Tren de Aragua member and one U.S. citizen with an active warrant were among the 37, DHS said, without saying how it had verified that gang affiliation. Others taken that day, the agency said, were "illegal aliens."

There has never been, to my knowledge, any accountability for this. Maybe a department gets sued but thats it. This is common practice, and its extremely dangerous. The same can be said for baton, bean bags and rubber bullets. They are never used the way they are intended.

Tear gas or other 40mm less lethal munitions are meant to be fired at the ground, not at a person. The idea is for the canister or grenade to roll into the crowd. Notably, cops almost never do this! Instead they aim at peoples heads and chests. Causing severe and often permanent injury.

In the third picture the weapon that the fascist is pointing at that mans head is a 40mm grenade launcher. If you fired that point blank it would cave someones skull in. Certain death. Its the same as if he had a rifle to his head.

Greg Bovino, Kristi Noem, and DHS need to answer for their unchecked attacks on Chicago residents.

ICE is an out-of-control danger to our peaceful communities.

The images from the Sun-Times today speak for themselves.

I would have bet they’d ignore the order, but I had wondered if this was even a battle worth fighting for them.

With all the cops there now protecting the facility, they don’t need the fence.
