#1 - Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble

A janky feeling tilt game that I felt was still weirdly fun. Gets a bit difficult near the end, but it's also pretty easy to rack up lives in this game. Some nice music and surprisingly good sounding voice clips.

"I'll never get over this thing that they did, they should disappear forever," is a crazy outlook to have, but you learn this for media and never question it and then we wonder why criminals are treated the way they are. You don't have to like a person for them to be able to experience growth.

If someone tries to redeem themselves but you personally don't want to forgive them, you act like there's absolutely nothing they can ever do to be a different, better person. You cannot change or be redeemed until you're forgiven, and if it's something unforgivable, change is also impossible.

People are weird about redemption in media, and partially, at least in the US, it's because we're indoctrinated to be weird about redemption in general. People treat suffering as the ultimate form of atonement and can't reconcile the idea that someone can change but you don't have to forgive them.

Love this comparison. There are many reasons why the Crash remakes turned out the way that they did, but it is deeply frustrating that the conversation around these games in particular treats them as true upgrades over the originals when that simply could not be further from the truth.

I'm not a big fan of how Crash 2 NST turned out presentation wise, and this is one of the reasons.

The warp rooms are just a massive downgrade. Warp Room 3 in particular stands out with how much worse it looks.
