Lots of people seem to have convinced themselves that Fetterman’s stroke is the only thing that made him actually bad, which is 1) a justification he doesn’t deserve, and 2) an attempt to not have gotten snowed by the guy’s affect in the first place.

In Germany, the police academy is 2.5 years. In Finland, 3 years.

Even the NYPD is 6 months.

ICE is was already 3 months. Now 1.5 months.

Pure indifference to any actual skill or ability. Makes them both more dangerous and less effective.

I don’t think we talk enough about the fact that we have elected representatives who are hopeful for the end of the world, and would be perfectly happy to bring it about because then is when they’re supposed to get their reward. When I first learned this I thought they were just crazy outliers, too.

And i’m still angry about when W was asked in a debate something about a favorite philosopher and he said Jesus Christ and that was it. I’m tired of people accepting “Jesus” as just the free pass that it is with an all too significant proportion of our electorate.

i think she has been careful in mapping out any next moves but if the redistricting is going to not work out for her she may want to run. She will have to compete with Allred and Talarico. Cornyn will be a really tough opponent. I think they have partnered on legislation as well.
