I have been attentively feeding a small murder of crows for several months now from my balcony. I even purchased an absurdly large bag of raw peanuts to ensure a steady supply. Friends, I have been thrown over for a CAVA dumpster, which, tragically enough, I can see from my office window.

When Trump was first elected, I booked a quick family trip to DC before the inauguration, fearing the worst for the city, museums, and monuments. We had an amazing time, and I’m so glad we did. I’ve been back several times since, and it always seems a bit sadder each time. Now….

There is now a tropical storm (Melissa) in the southern Caribbean that might get up to some weird stuff around Jamaica and Haiti over the next few days. Potential tracks for this are all over the place at this point.

White House does not have mirrors that are 400 years old, as it would be around 1625, and the oldest mirrors in the WH collection are from late 1700s — English pier mirror (1770-1790) and another set of mirrors salvaged after the 1814 fire, which would be about 200, not 400 y/o.
