Windy's comments on the NBA pulling Rozier & Porter get at what I have been saying for years.

In some % of cases, the NBA has under the table suspensions that are sold as injuries or load mgmt. Now extrapolate from that the rarity of players getting in trouble for PEDs/gambling in NBA vs NFL/MLB

Zion is bad at taking 2s outside of the restricted area, & I don't think he's ever going to get over the hump where it's worth it for him to take a bunch of those shots in lieu of a boost in 3s and especially team 3s.

The same has been true for Giannis and the same is going to be true for Amen.

No matter how you want to break down last night's game--blame Willie Green/Dickinson minutes/the bench...

Pels lost by 6 points & the 2 best players were both inefficient offensively (40 pts on 36 FGA & 14 FTA combined). If those 2 get to avg efficiency on the same volume the Pels win the game.

To maximize this roster they have to trade Reed, but if they trade Reed+Capela for a guard that leaves them in the same kind of 'very thin at guard' scenario from an injury risk perspective.

HOU was very negative in the Okogie mins, Reed mins, & the Okogie+Reed mins.

They were + everywhere else. So you can see the direct effect of FVV injury, & the dilemma they're in with Eason/Reed. If Eason goes out for a guard, Okogie plays more.

Post trade deadline the Pelicans will most likely have only 5-6 games against tanking teams out of 29.

The idea that they're going to win extra down the stretch because they won't be tanking and other teams will be doesn't hold a lot of water.

It makes him less easy to trade. The Pels are in a death spiral right now, and it's going to get worse before it gets better.

The most positive spin is the decision-makers are limited in the amount they can spend, and thus are limited in some respect in the amount of damage they can do.

1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

Kon Knueppel has four free throw attempts in 96 preseason minutes. It doesn't matter how good of a shooter he is (only 21/63 from the NBA 3 pt line in SL/preseason)--1.5 FTA/36 simply is not going to get it done in terms of making him worth the #4 pick.

Thybulle is making $11M this year and is a UFA next year. He has shot 36% from 3 over the last three years on similar /100 volume to K Murray and much greater /100 volume than D Daniels.

What is gained in terms of playoff equity by paying $28M for a defensive wing who is a spacer on offense?

I won't pretend to know how these players rank in fantasy basketball, but... I think J-Dub is a safe bet to put up similar numbers to last year and Franz has the most upside for this season.
