You know, I don't care if edgelords wanna be politically incorrect for shits and giggles, but when it's so past the "dark jokes" excuse that you know a leak would be a disaster, maybe pursuing actual politics while chatting is a bad idea.

Always telling on themselves like cartoon villains. Morons.

If they'd hired a sketch artist and only said "prolific 4chan racists," the results would have been spot on.

I rock up to the party like this...
"Yeah I don't really know anything about him but I don't need to"

(that's a hypothetical, I'm not suggesting they somehow actually had such an unlikely conversation)

Jesus. Even if they'd literally had a conversation once where she explicitly said "it'd be hot if you said you hated me," choosing to say it the very same day she expressed feeling like he actually hated her would *still* be a hurtful and stupid move. This guy's a complete douche.

Holy shit. Fucked was the right word.

Women only care about one thing. A beautifully cooked ham they dont have to share. They can eat the whole thing and they dont have to share with anyone. 6lbs of ham just for themself. They can take it in the bath or on the couch and its just theirs, not to share. No one can ask for a single swallow

Goddamn, that's a gorgeous one.

It also makes no sense, where the hell is anyone gonna consistently lock down two houses a day that are within travel distance, need cleaning, and are prepared to pay? Even if everyone was ready to hire, you're gonna run out fast.

It's almost like the entire TikTok deal thing was fully planned for exactly this reason. But that's crazy, Trump isn't crazy!

I should say specifically that I think it's excellent for SEO content (with human fact checking and such, of course), but then I'm also biased since SEO content is my job 😂

Absolutely! This, to me, is one of its greatest benefits.

Drove through some real bucolic stuff yesterday on my way to my dad's. Grandma's calendar quality.

I work with AI content every day. It's not even a close call. One day it will be impossible to tell what's human and what's AI, but it will still be very easy to tell what's good and what's shit. Those who think it's saving time and money are as foolish as those who think it's going to replace us.

It's always going to be better value to use human writing, because it's so often much easier to come up with the shit yourself than wrangle with an LLM that can't think outside its box. Even as that box gets bigger, it only becomes more annoying to wrangle (see: Chat-GPT 5 fail).

I have controversially positive opinions on AI, but here Ari Shapiro points out exactly what I keep saying. It can't even remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level. 🧵

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.
