Helping my 17yo w/his college applications has been illuminating.

I’m sad to see his assumption that higher education is mainly about career preparation.

No matter how much I go on about how his education is for HIM & “They’re called the liberal arts because they’re about liberation!” & etcetera.

43 years ago today, readers the world over opened their newspapers and gazed upon cow tools for the first time. happy birthday cow tools. you look great.

It seemed fitting that as Rome Brothers Press published the first edition of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass, I would proof another state of the #drawing based on their shop. It also marks the last sheet of some fantastic paper I had watermarked from the legendary G. Poggi artist’s supplies in Rome.

I don’t think I like the industrial angle as frame moulding; it asserts objecthood in a way a frame doesn’t, but I don’t know what it adds.

I’m also wondering about the decision of which part of the channel caps the other as they meet at a butt-joint rather than a miter…

Really liked the #CadyNoland framed works that didn’t seem like reprintings or fragments of previous works on aluminum, but then maybe I just didn’t identify the sources for these…

They do have a Christopher Wool vibe that I really like.
