In my opinion, this is worth spending money and raising taxes for -- along with better healthcare and education. Certainly a more worthy endeavour than tax cuts for the uber rich.
I can travel from Kitchener exclusively by rail and be in Sudbury by the end of the day. I can be in White River by the end of the next day. But ONLY if I leave on a Wednesday or a Sunday.

It's a damn shame I can't be in Thunder Bay, or that train trips between Toronto and Winnipeg aren't daily
I criticize Doug Ford for a lot -- possibly even not enough -- but I'll give him credit for bringing back the Northlander. Public mobility is an under-addressed issue for our rural, northern and remote communities. But we need more of it.
I wonder how many people are coming to Can*Con from Kitchener... by way of Sudbury. :-)
Thank you! I’m quite pleased about it.
Looking forward to seeing people at Can*Con this weekend, celebrating the launch of Volume 3 of the Year’s Best Canadian Fantasy and Science Fiction. I’ll be around to autograph my story.

ICE has been deployed to *provoke* civilians, not to protect them. They want to throw tear gas canisters and get people on the streets riled up, all to create footage for Fox News and Newsmax, et al., that will be used as a pretext for imposing martial law to lower voting rates in Democratic cities.
The only violence I’ve been seeing in Portland is from the so-called Feds!!!

Keep sharing these videos; it’s evidence.
Or black mold causes transphobia.
I’m not sure if I should make a connection here, but: Jordan Peterson is sick after exposure to black mold. JK Rowling has had what appears to be black mold showing up in her home. They’re both transphobic, so…?

Yes. That’s exactly why my daughters are autistic.
Besides linking Tylenol in pregnant women to autism, RFK Jr. now says circumcision is part of the reason why kids are autistic.

"Children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, and it's highly likely because they're given Tylenol. None of this is positive..."

Exactly. I want Democratic leadership that are openly letting us know that if/when the clock turns, there will be Nuremberg Trials for the fascists that have taken control of this country.
Be nice if any single national Democrat promised to hold these fuckwads accountable for malicious prosecution should the wheel ever turn around.

But, whatever. Everybody who opposes Trump will just have to weather this bullshit.

My husband @bowjamesbow.ca reads to me at night. We recently finished @annaleen.bsky.social ‘s AUTOMATIC NOODLE. It managed to make me both mouth-wateringly hungry for hand- pulled noodle and burningly ambitious to create something real. Another great read!!!

Canada Post is quoting the government celebrating its “tough, decisive action” in ending the service. Ever notice that only goes one way? Ending oil and gas subsidies would be a tough, decisive action. Taxing the rich would be a tough, decisive action. Has Galen Weston ever faced a decisive action?
