I'm not much of a Cronenberg fan (he's great, I just don't click with many of his movies) but I really liked Shivers!
Day 91 of #100DaysofHorror: Brute 1976 (2025). The review I read of this wasn't particularly glowing, but 🤷🏼‍♀️. It's a sort of TCM knockoff, to the point that the characters have already referenced that movie by name.

As an aside, I'm very grateful to be down to the last 10 days. I'm tired of movies.
If the plane crashes tomorrow, I can at least die content in the knowledge that it could be worse. For instance, I could still be watching this movie
This movie could have been very good if the story was "there is a serial killer on board and their victims are haunting the plane, who is it" but instead that was played off like a twist after a very long, unsatisfactory hour
Day 90 of #100DaysofHorror: Flight 666 (2018). I fly tomorrow, so tonight I'm watching a plane disaster movie as a way to cope with my flying anxiety. It's very reassuring to hit some turbulence and think "no matter what happens, the plane isn't possessed by a demon lady"
Day 89 of #100DaysofHorror: To Die For (1995). Amazing trash starring Nicole Kidman and Joaquin Phoenix. I can't believe I'd never seen this before.
Day 88 of #100DaysofHorror: No Tears in Hell (2025). Based on a Russian serial killer and his accomplice mother.
Day 87 of #100DaysofHorror: Cry Wolf (2005). I'm a sucker for 2000s blue-tinged horror.

i think this is my fave sign i haven't seen featured yet today. blocked out the person's face:
Day 86 of #100DaysofHorror: Trigger Happy (2025). A husband decides to kill his wife for the insurance money. Somewhat shocking just how unlikeable everyone in this is.
Day 85 of #100DaysofHorror: Black Phone 2 (2025). In which Ethan Hawke is not dead, somehow.
Great block list here. Don't engage, just block.
Don't engage. Just block. They want to push their rage bait on here. Don't give them the satisfaction.

At this point I'm pretty burned out on this pace of movies and I would love to take the night off, but this is made by the same man who directed Coming Home in the Dark so I'm feeling more enthusiastic about it
Day 84 of #100DaysofHorror: The Rule of Jenny Pen (2025). Geoffrey Rush is judge who has a stroke and is now living in a nursing home. One of the other residents is John Lithgow, who has a deeply creepy puppet. Also maybe the cat is evil?

Some idiots think they're going to type a prompt into an AI, publish a "novel," and make Stephen King money, but it's never gonna happen because AI will never be able to do what Stephen King did (an incredible amount of cocaine)
A teenage boy died by suicide after a bot encouraged him not to tell his parents about his plan, and a family died from eating poisonous mushrooms that a bot said were fine. That's off the top of my head. Hopefully as the shit adds up, some action will finally be taken to shut it down.
Quote this with the first four Horror movies that come to your mind that are 10/10s for you. No cheating. Just the first four that pop into your head.

The Mist
The Babadook
Saw
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Quote this with the first four Horror movies that come to your mind that are 10/10s for you. No cheating. Just the first four that pop into your head.

The Lighthouse
The Evil Dead
Alien
Audition
The Shining
Halloween
Evil Dead 2
Night of the Living Dead

Dawn of the Dead would probably make the cut any other day. As would Return Of the Living Dead.

I’m not actually a big zombie movie guy, but the ones I like, I love.

Another honorable mention: Them
Day 83 of #100DaysofHorror: Push (2024). A pregnant realtor is attacked during an open house. By the directors of The Boy Behind the Door and The Djinn.
Day 82 of #100DaysofHorror: Just Breathe (2025). Kyle Gallner is in a toxic relationship triangle.
Day 81 of #100DaysofHorror: The Killgrin (2025). The trailer looks like this is a knockoff of Smile, but the IMDb description says it's about people who have "an infection of the aura." Intriguingly silly concept, I'm in
Day 80 of #100DaysofHorror: Falling Stars (2024). A world where witches are real and snatch people up from the streets. This was very well done in many ways, and I would probably watch more from these directors, but oh my god it is so SLOW
