Covid is not a routine winter virus, and we are shocked by the naked political attempts by the NHS and UKHSA to minimise the impact of Covid and pretend Covid is just another ‘winter virus’. The present Covid wave in England is being driven by new variants of the Covid virus. (1/4)

Remember, lateral flow home rest kits are very accurate if showing that you do have Covid, but much less accurate when they show you do not have Covid. If you have symptoms of Covid, but test negative, it is always worth testing again at a later date to be sure. (3/4)

BuDS recommends that anyone with symptoms of a respiratory virus tests themselves for Covid using lateral flow home test kits (about £2 each from pharmacies or online). If the test is positive, do self-isolate or wear a mask to protect others, even if you don’t feel particularly ill yourself. (1/4)

If you or someone you have met does have symptoms of Covid (or of a respiratory virus which might be Covid), please do the decent, patriotic, thing and keep it to yourself. Unless you are unable to do so, please isolate until your symptoms have been gone for a couple of days. (1/2)

The Covid wave in England has reached Very High levels of risk, with around 1 in every 103 people in England infected as of 12 October. Now is the time to take maximum precautions against catching Covid.

After yesterday's fieldwork led to me having to spend the best part of 17 hours resting, I thought I might use my day off for something fun, for a change!

Another 5 hours of sleep (on top of 12 hours of mostly Rest before that) and I'm 'Reset' and 'Ready' for the day ahead.

Grateful to have managed to go Part-Time; otherwise I would have had to be in work for the past hour, rather than having this time to REST and RECOVER.

Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) abnormally elevated after Monday's overexertion.

My #KiActiv sportswatch (movement) data show that I exceeded 2 of my self-imposed daily limits:

200 calories over my 4000-cal. daily limit

54 minutes over my 60-min. daily limit

Bed rest 🙏
