That's literally how we ended up talking about it.

Same issue as the Netherlands with people struggling to be taken serious and unable to get jobs because of it.

Funny to know my Doeg actually stem from the fact my mum's side moved from Zuid Holland to Noord... makes so much sense now lol.

It's a common one but they've all got a posh accent so it felt out of place.

The subject of dialects came up in chat yesterday and I mentioned that the Netherlands despite its size has a ridiculous amount (plus an entire language: Fries) then I stumbled across this chart today which perfectly highlights it.

I love how these things works. I technically graduated from secondary education with 7 a-levels which is hilarious.

Meanwhile my BSc is considered to be a proper university degree in the UK, while it's not in the Netherlands, only my Masters is a 'proper' uni degree in NL 😂

This is proper embarrassing for UK education dude. Like, fuck me, I had to meet B2 requirements for English when finishing my secondary education... in the Netherlands 😂

(anyway I agree this is a much needed change but shit son I never realised that A-levels were that 'low in skill level')
