No question, Gaza was/is horrific, but it was political suicide for the Dems and likely drove off more swing voters than the protesters they lost because of it ...a lose, lose result. It also gave the cons a huge issue to run on. Gaza wasn't the only reason the Dems lost, but it sure didn't help.

2/5 IMO this is where the Dems fail in elections. The factions continue to hound the candidate during the campaign. They don't present a united front or consistent messaging, and public infighting sends a negative signals to swing voters, who are the only voters who count during the campaign.

1/4 It's not what specific things make a perfect candidate, it's that the candidate should not be expected to satisfy every issue all the time. That's what the platform is for. The candidate should represent the platform but not necessarily every issue.

Agreed, veterans are key in this but so are moderate Christians. Moderate Christians put this regime in power, they are the only swing block large enough to remove the Trump mafia. That is if we ever have free and fair elections again.
