And at this the creature smiles from ear to ear sinisterly before its face shifts to a cute cat smile and it says "He liked you back!" in cute fancy text. This surpised the opossum who spends the next panel staring at the door blankly before responding "He *Italicized* likes me back" before going back to cleaning and the shadow dissapears, the last panel has a dove coworker staring at him, confused at to why he looks so happy.

Wow! 75 years ago, Charles M. Schulz's PEANUTS premiered in newspapers & changed the game! It was, and remains, one of my own primary influences & guiding stars, and I love it!
