The cruelty knows no bounds, the insatiable thirst for inflicting pain can never be quenched. ICE, DHS and this admin are horrible and loathsome and should be given no benefit of any doubt, no quarter, no negotiation.

A man was wrongfully imprisoned for a crime he did not commit for more than 40 years. As soon as he was exonerated, ICE picked him up to deport him to a country he has not lived in since he was a baby www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...

Someone did this at an event today that I was at and I genuinely felt so angry and ALSO no one knew so I didn't get a tiny trophy for not losing my shit. Can someone please clap for me holding it together in the face of such behavior?

“ICE kidnapped a community member here,” reads one. “Never forget/no nos olvidamos,” says another.

The signs have appeared across some of D.C.’s heavily immigrant neighborhoods where federal immigration arrests have escalated.

Not a comfortable read—but sugar-coating does not help. No countryis currently on track to meet 1.5°C Paris target. To reach it, individual lifestyle emissions in high-income countries must fall by up to 94%. Transport & nutrition remain largest sources of emissions.

Over 40% of corn grown in Indiana is used to make ethanol that cars burn. One acre of corn yields about 16,500 vehicle-miles per year of ethanol, which sounds high until you realize that one acre of solar yields about 2,700,000 vehicle-miles per year: 16,000% more driving for a given plot of land.

The widespread media decision to frame international affairs as "will Donnie get the prize he wants?" is pathetic.

He's not the protagonist of human events. And to the extent he's a significant character in world affairs, whether or not he gets a prize is one of the least important things about it.

One of the things I took away from the 60s and Richard Nixon, first mentioned by Hunter Thompson, but I believe to be true, is the fact that we believed, at time, that all our protesting, marching and sign waving was futile and pointless when in fact, it drove Richard Nixon to alcohol fueled madness

Everyone is trying to have a normal Saturday night and the president's top advisor is on X announcing that civil war is necessary
@StephenM on X: Legal insurrection. The President is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, not an Oregon judge. Portland and Oregon law enforcement, at the direction of local leaders, have refused to aid ICE officers facing relentless terrorist assault and threats to life. (There are more local law enforcement officers in Oregon than there are guns and badges in the FBI nationwide). This is an organized terrorist attack on the federal government and its officers, and the deployment of troops is an absolute necessity to defend our personnel, our laws, our government, public order and the Republic itself.

This is simply untenable. There is no way forward with media and political classes captured by the right. Every time someone commits a crime you have to pray it's not an undesirable or it's purge time, then when it turns out to be themselves again they just shrug and wait for the next one.

The markings that supposedly expressed “transgender ideology” were………..a series of arrows.
CNN. The initial report, also called a bulletin, typically include all information gathered in an investigation so that agents anywhere will know what is being collected - but the information is not always correct.
The ATF bulletin said that agents found engravings that they interpreted as
"expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology" on ammunition inside a weapon believed to have been used in the murder of Kirk.
Two law enforcement sources told CNN that agents quickly ran an initial search on one of the markings, including a series of arrows, which analysts initially interpreted to be a connection to the transgender community.
That information remains unverified and is still being investigated.
