They think we hold our leaders as sacred as they do theirs. This is one of the worst, but in a similar vein is "but Bill Clinton is in the Epstein files"...Like so what? If he's in there we hold him accountable too. Truth is my first loyalty, justice and equity my second.

NO KINGS DAY!!!!! When people tell the king what they think of him and he pretends they really hate their own country.

The layers! The layers! It's probably because I occasionally get caught on those finding your relatives videos and that one ex-mormon influencer who is super interesting.
Just got deseret Book ad. An app that promises no surprise spice and curated "clean" romance. Tag line "join your proper romance era".

Slut shaming is in I guess.

just call them close door romances and stop defining your romance as the morally correct type.

Same! I started it earlier in the year, but wasn't where I needed to be to read it. When it came around again, I was ready and seriously probably going to be in my top 5 of all time if it keeps it up.

My content’s going to be obnoxious today & tomorrow, fair warning. I’m trying to hit my goal of 500 paid subscribers in Bindery for my birthday tomorrow and I am 115 away. So I will be obnoxious as I try to make that happen over the next 48 hours. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have a few books I'm reading for an upcoming author conversation I get to HOST. (Still not over this) But Luminous by Silvia Park has me by the throat so I'm reading that instead.

The human on robot crime has me hoping for an unusual robots win storyline over a Black Beauty ending.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.
You might like it. It's a hard read for me. It's def set in a world where the transphobes, homophobes, and racist nationalist win.
I could see this for sure. Honestly, it needs to be taught with the Giver and 1984. Amongst many others.
Gliff by Ali Smith is a stunning dystopian. I am clutching nearly every sentence to my chest. Honestly, this is a classic in the making. #💙📚 #📚📚
Ooh I'm reading the physical copy. But I can imagine the audio book is phenomenal!
I'm having so much fun with it ♥️
Alt text: song lyrics Oh, to let pain be as light as a feather
Oh, to be free as a rolling stone
Oh, to be brave in the cutthroat weather

Let the river unfold
Let it carry me home
With hollow bones
Started #hammajangluck today and it is a bit of a sucker punch. Heist with heart? Hawaiian cyber punk? Yes please 📚💙 🪐📚

If we're doing groceries and take-out discourse, here's my take:

Man-made famines are crimes against humanity.

If you can help the World Central Kitchen in Gaza, please do. Donate dollars. Call your reps. Share their story in your communities to invite help.

Someone will probably call this hyperbole. To which I say, you've been calling every true prediction about this hyperbole for years.
So the executive order today that not only criminalizes but institutionalizes mental health disabilities is not only super Nazish- but also can be used to easily set up legal pretense to label folks like trans people as “mentally ill” so they can round us up into prisons or camps.

Bad news, I have been diagnosed with B-cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Obviously shit is scary for me right now but if you would like to support my treatments and recovery, I made a GoFundMe link!

AFTER he was released, instead of an apology: "On Tuesday morning, while boarding his flight to Vermont, Chavarria said he received an email from U.S. Customs and Border Protection: his Global Entry permission had been revoked. No reason was given."
"They falsely stated that I, a U.S. citizen, have no Constitutional rights at a point of entry, and officers became increasingly agitated as I continued to assert my rights regardless."
Winooski Superintendent Detained, Questioned by Border Officials
Superintendent Wilmer Chavarria, a U.S. citizen, was questioned for hours at a Houston airport as he returned from a visit to Nicaragua with his husband.
