The UK legal system just used the trans panic defence to throw a trans woman in jail for two years and onto the sex offenders register possibly for life on the basis of a cis man being embarrassed in front of his mates.

Trans women can be put on a register for peeing in public or being in sex work.

I think a 6/10 is probably the number grade I'd give the game. Like a 7 feels maybe a bit too high when I consider the business practices plus my complaints. A 5 is like a game I can play, I can enjoy but is pure junk food like a Marvel Rivals but a 7 is like a work of art that has big flaws.

I can say this is probably a step forward from Cyber Sleuth it's a much prettier game with a lot more polish but it also has a slew of issues that make it not just a clean jump ahead.

I hope that the right lessons are taken from Time Stranger and we see Digimon evolve past this to great heights.

Will this game end up in my top 10 games of the year, yeah probably but I really enjoy digimon RPGs and it's better then Lost Evolution which I also played this year so it can take it's spot.

Like it's almost so much wasted potential I wanna write fan fiction but I probably won't.

use for venusmon. It works beter on Venusmon who can be an established healer but for some reason Inori needed to be a High Schooler? Like for whatever reason, it doesn't really even play into the time travel at all really. Hiroko kinda almost sorta has it matter but not really.

Your digimon themselves still feel very flat, Ageiomon being your friends digimon means you lack the tamer bound, it probably would have been better to represent digimon to have a perma slot digimon be YOUR digimon partner who has a personality and evolves via plot like Monster Hunter Stories does

While the game kinda brags a good amount of in game outfits there is really just two in game outfits, outfit skin one male and outfit skin two female + Default outfit. Unless you are buying costumes every outfit is some variant of your genders generic none uniform outfit.

The Digifarm is frustrating to use and needs a lot more QoL.

The games business practices are actively shoved into the players face it is not ignorable. DLC stands out in multiple menus, Costumes, Music, and Outer Dungeon but even going to the farm you might accidentally click online shop.

about when it's voice acted and when it isn't. It feels extremely cheap and random and jarring to experience.

Back to gameplay I got distracted but combat generally feels better and scanning way better. I do like the system of all none signature moves being items you can take on and off.

in the presentation in particular Digiride while amazing clearly is coded in the developers unconcious sexism where like so many of the "guy" coded digimon will let you ride them by them holding you but the fem ones simply won't.

Voice acting is nice to have in English but the game is so weird

just objectively better. Digimon losing personal abilities in favor of Personality Abilities I personally don't prefer. It does allow for more digimon to technically be viable if you digi convert enough into them or whatever but digimon do feel less special.

Animations are better but there is gaps

The games ending message is directly contradicted by statements made hours ago. It gives itself a bad conclusion, then decides to do the thing it said was bad and do it in the worst possible way.

Time Strangers gameplay is an improvement from previous Digimon Story games but not all decisions are

I cleared every single side quest, completed the full field guide, I beat the game, I experienced most of what it has to give me.

Queerness wise there wasn't the same queerness that existed in Cyber Sleuth the game is a lot more like str8 baity, certainly women to ship but mostly not a lot goin on

There was a lot more kinda empty Hyper Moments and Aura type stuff like any time Omnimon showed up it added nothing it was just there for the player to point at the screen and say "OMEGAMON FROM OUR WAR GAME, OMG!"

A lot of stuff near the end felt rushed and poorly paced.
