I disagree.

Why shouldn’t an organisation founded by European democracies highlight possible human right abuses.

We should not be afraid to be held to account. Otherwise we slide into Fascism as in USA.

Stop being afraid of Farage. Be British. Stand up for human rights.

I agree with Joshua that this intervention is by the Human Rights Commissioner is spectacularly badly timed.

At a moment where two of the four largest political parties in the UK are advocating an exit from the Convention system, his criticisms seem tin eared.

ICE is probably causing an increase in crime.

I’m not referring to the many crimes committed by ICE officers—though one certainly could—but to how they’ve enabled criminals by giving them opportunities to impersonate masked ICE officers and by pulling cops off of police work to do harassment.
