Oh fuck yeah the Reeve’s Octoauto mentioned

I was married, but I’m not married anymore. Women don’t like the vehicle.

What do national parks and democracy have in common? They're both built on a powerful idea: the best of America belongs to the people.

my god there has never been a more accurate use of this
I sleep in a race car bed
I’m in a competitive area so the same damn political ads have been NONSTOP
It’s also worth noting one of the parties has fully signed off on & endorsed the wholesale destruction of said guardrails

It’s less “they didn’t hold” & more “half the people gleefully took a torch to ‘em”
The 1st term guardrails didn't hold. We live in a republic now, albeit a dying one, because largely unknown Congressional staffers saved the electoral college ballots in 2021

A man attempted a terroristic insurrection, failed, lied about it, & was rewarded with the most powerful office in the world

I'm sorry what now?
RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.

The CFPB is one of the most staunch financial watchdogs for the American people.

The agency has returned at least $20B to the victims of financial fraud and abuse since 2011.

It's no longer protecting consumers now...BECAUSE THIS REGIME DOESN'T WANT IT TO!

the year is 2030. a doctor solemnly informs you that you have plastic in your testicles bc millions of people persuaded by celebrity marketing bought synthetic pubic hairs that were eventually consumed by fish that you ate
The Daily Beast writes: "Kim Kardashian's brand SKIMS has sold out its synthetic pubic hair thongs and is now accumulating a waitlist for the product." Their tweet is accompanied by a link to a post with the story.
I’ve said it before - I’d like to see the folks screaming about “lack of care” & “disinterest” to pony up some cash & volunteer some time to actually help instead of hollering from their armchairs at the overworked & dedicated people who do their damndest to care for these ships

It takes loads of $
We are definitely going to see a reduction in numbers regarding museum ships in the next decade or so before we see new ones.
Interesting that YouTube videos are down but the ads work perfectly - in fact, they keep cycling on as the videos I click fail to load

Feels apt for the current state of things - no, you can’t access the creative media you want; only forced consumerism

Good thing I checked the socials... seems Youtube is fucked right now.

Which sucks because there are a half dozen videos I wanted to watch tonight.
Nice, but ‘twould be far more apt for our current clime if a bunch of folks came up w/ sledgehammers to the bottom of that thing

This ain’t a slow erosion - it’s a direct, brazen assault
NEW: A huge ice sculpture of the word “DEMOCRACY” is currently melting away in front of the US Capitol.

Organized by artists and activists, it was commissioned by the Up In Arms campaign, an effort led by Ben Cohen, the cofounder of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

No one ever confused Eric Adams for someone with principles.
After calling Cuomo a "snake and a liar," Eric Adams appears to be getting ready to endorse him. x.com/Annie_McDono...

Some of those people are currently on the staff of elected Republicans, in fact. They’re part of the present of the GOP.
Q: Politico reported on a group chat of young Republicans. Does this just reflect some bad apples?

HOCHUL: Some bad apples? These are the future of the GOP. This is so vile it's hard to find the words to put into context ... there's gotta be consequences ... this bullshit has to stop.
