His art was incredible. We reference him on an almost daily basis in the comic business. He will be missed.

What's an opinion about X-Men that'll get you sent to jail? Is Jean really interesting or really boring? Should Logan have stayed dead? Do you think a certain x-mens outfit is positively horrendous even though people seem to love it?

The Brood Saga is better than Dark Phoenix imo 🤷

Is there a better cover than NIN’s version of Joy Division’s “Dead Souls”? youtu.be/8eptioPpo4w?...

Way back in Amazing Heroes #192, CC talked about Betsy only being "Lady Mandarin" for Acts of Vengeance. Then readers got a look at Jim Lee's art and (no pun intended) all bets were off.

Yum! Gotta let me know where this is

Publishing this book sends a strong message that Marvel continues to live in the past instead of engaging with the present. It suggests they are ignorant of how offensive their own IP has been. And suggests they're fine prioritizing schlock for speculators instead of quality comics.

Marvel's current X-Office does boast creator diversity, but canceling the previous Psylocke (Kwannon) book written by a nonbinary writer and replacing it with this? Not a good look.

Publishing a retro yellowface miniseries that doubles down on tropes with Elektra and The Hand is already problematic.
When your EiC practiced yellow face by impersonating a fictional Japanese man, it seems downright insane.

"Ninja" is the third in a series of retro X-titles (Savage Land Rogue, White Queen) that have zero story reasons to exist beyond selling cheesecake variant covers of "sexy ladies." But Psylocke Ninja has the additional issue of an enormously problematic version of the character at its core.

Jim Zub and Thony Silas's Mystery in Madripoor gave Krakoan creators like Tini Howard and Zeb Wells ample opportunity to develop the individual characters of Captain Britain Betsy and Kwannon Psylocke. Audiences have had six years of stories with those versions of the characters as the status quo.

I think we need to call this Psylocke announcement what it is: Racist and Sexist. The original Acts of Vengeance change was never meant to be permanent, and had the benefit of being drawn by an Asian American, but should never have lasted for the decades that it did.

X-Men has some of the greatest female characters in comics but the way they're always regressing those characters to some of their worst eras because apparently guys like 'em best that way sure is something

Editor: Ok so we're gonna need a sexy Psylocke
Artist: You got it, here ya go
Editor: Nah, man, Imma need a bigger kadunkadunk
Artist: How's this?
Editor: Make it so her leg is dislodged from her hip
Artist: I can do that
Editor: Can we add some hot dog fingers?
