I love homosexual desire about as much as I love homosexual people, which is more than the numbers of astral objects in our galaxy

"Oh yeah? They said the same thing about digital art when it became a thing" isn't a gotcha it's an admission that you're too stupid to tell the difference

I know we're against private pools in this ecological economy but hot shit do I need a 4h soak to get rid of all that jazz

It's illegal to swim in most lakes and rivers and living near the sea costs more than what I'll earn in my entire life so how is a water goblin like me supposed to survive huh
acozycloud.bsky.social
I have been alternating between states of rage and exhaustion for the past 2 months and I have pretty much spent all my free time either playing games to avoid thinking or making art to process it but I'm not comfortable showing those online so all I have is messy thoughts and exclamation marks

Why can't I be fat and think I'm fucking stunning ? Why can't I think I'd pay a million dollar to fuck myself if I ever met myself ? Yes my body is more than the sum of its aesthetics and desirability but why should I not think it beautiful all the same ? Oh boy I'm so mad
acozycloud.bsky.social
This echoes a lot of other things I hate about body neutrality when used as a tool to forbid people from feeling good or having fun. Like yes body neutrality is an amazing thing, but why is it that somehow it's almost always the fat people who have to be neutral about their bodies ?
acozycloud.bsky.social
Let disabled people have fun with eroticism like all other people do !!! Let non disabled people draw disabled people as hot and attractive as they want to !!!! We all deserve to feel good about our bodies no matter the state of our health dear gods
acozycloud.bsky.social
Some disabled people want a neutral view of their disability when in a sexual context. Some people role play to experience the power fantasy of being in a non disabled body. Some use kink to sexualize their disabilities to find a little bit of pleasure in their own suffering !! IT'S ALL OK !!!!
acozycloud.bsky.social
I have had it up to here with discourse over visibly disabled characters being eroticized. I'm willing to assume it comes from the good thought of being aware of fetishization but there's a point where it morphs into "disabled people should be sexless chaste beings that do not deserve to be desired"

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

That's the dark promise at the heart of Generative AI. That this outlook is the correct one - that concept outweights execution - and so a machine that spits out "art" when you feed in your idea is the answer to the big problem: that nobody wants to help make your shit.

In their worldview, they're the engine - everyone else exists to execute their brilliant ideas. And if everyone else would just do that, they'd be millionaires. They truly believe this. But people insist on being paid, or having creative input, neither of which they will consider.

AI evangelists are archetypal "Ideas Guys". The ones who are convinced they've come up with the best movie/comic/game concept ever, but just need actual talented people to make it for them. The inevitable lack of interest from creatives is, in their mind, the reason they've never succeeded.

The level of hatred these AI bros have for creative people I just do not understand

I can imagine that finally being participants in the overarching reality we all live in was quite the unpleasant surprise for their self-worth.

lol, important rich white adult people shattered like tempered glass when confronted with the unfiltered stream of contempt the public has for them via mass social media and now we have to joker laugh on the interrogation room floor while they kick our liver to death

it’s always a lovely day when people realize weirdos are the backbone of any fandom and trying to make everyone “normal” kills everything enjoyable about it. fandom wouldn’t exist if people could be normal about things.

Listen. If you didn't want to be seen as the Twitter escape pod, you shouldn't have deliberately fostered a community of people so united by their contempt for arbitrary authority and love of absolute free speech that they were willing to abandon a platform they'd been using for 15 years
