I’m way too happy about my PowerShell experience today. Writing code to create the basic workspaces, lakehouses, pipelines and metadata database using the Fabric API endpoints.

We had a90gb increase from a small number of tables. 9 of the around 50-60 we need. That was also in the expected bounds of data reduction to 7%.
Based on this, the estimated monthly extra cost would be around 16000 euro’s.

It’s the driving reason we’re not using it. The cost risk way to high, especially compared to Synapse Link. Just use the Fabric storage/compute instead of the dataverse and you’ll reduce cost and increase adoption.

A few minutes ago, I came across a post on LinkedIn by Erin Stellato, highlighting the post from Makena Barickman on the release of SSMS 22, preview 3. If you've been following my blogs, you've read that I'm a keen follower of the latest editions of SSMS, especially now that Copilot is integrated. From very early previews to the current preview implementation of your own model in Azure OpenAI with Azure AI Foundry, I've tested them and driven them mad.

I've been looking through NASA open data to find datasets that would best help me demo vector embeddings and searches. I've created test data with Copilot that is workable, but I'm still looking for real data options.
These could be documents, images, or data files. Since this is for a demo, I'm especially interested in concepts that would be easy for a lay person to follow quickly and to understand why the embedding "worked".
Of course, I'm open to any dataset from other space agencies or even just interesting use cases.
