The conference went English in Duisburg in 2009 😉 And yes 2001: first doc workshop, which is early considering the division media psych was founded in 1999 and had its first conference in 2000.

It is considered odd to cite oneself in a review, but I am convinced that three very helpful reviews for an #ica25 paper we got refer to the reviewers' own work. It made me think: I would not have noticed these scholars' work without their self-citations bc it is not a 100% fit; still, so helpful.
