Spring 2025 was pretty mild! In NY City Central Park (USW00094728), 2025 was the 13th warmest meteorological Spring on record in NYC’s 157 year old climate record. Philly (USW00013739) had 6th warmest in the 152 year historical record.

With yesterday’s data now in, NYC so far is on track for its 7th warmest Spring on record in 157 years of record keeping and Philly is on track for its 5th warmest Spring in 152 years of climate data.

NYC hit 85F yesterday, the hottest day of 2025 so far. Newark got to 87F. Many locations were in the low-mid 80s across the NYC and Philly Metro areas. Highs will be about 15-25F cooler today compared to yesterday and cooler still on Monday before jumping back into the 70s late this week.

interesting fact, Valentines Day 2016 was record cold for much of the Northeast, but a huge surge of warmth at the beginning and end of February that year pushed the average for the month up.

Welp, that's about as low as I like my house sensors to go! We had a low of -5 to -9 F yesterday depending on which weather station you asked. Attic was +5, Garage was 32.9, Pipe Closet was 41.7.
