@ wyatt I was under the impression that extensions could not run native code, only JavaScript and WebAssembly. This means no GPU compute because WebGPU is unavailable in Firefox for macOS and GNU/Linux.

I’ve opened up many of the TSL exercises to everyone!

If you wanna try out some WebGPU shaders and fiddle with them, all in the browser.

Try an exercise and see if you can match the output.

The discussion weighed CPU vs. GPU rendering, especially with WebGPU. CPU renderers were seen as potential fallbacks while GPU shaders compile, and unified memory architectures significantly influence these trade-offs. #WebGPU 3/6

My colleague Antonio Maiorano added some basic support for capturing Chrome #WebGPU content with RenderDoc recently! I wrote a brief article about how to use it. It's pretty primitive right now, but I have high hopes that we can improve the ergonomics in the future.

Chrome 142

Google’s Selective Security: The Flawed Faith in Partial Protection and What It Means for Your Cybersecurity Posture
Introduction: Google’s recent emergency Chrome patch addresses critical remote code execution vulnerabilities in WebGPU and core components, yet this reactive measure highlights a deeper systemic issue. The company’s inconsistent security posture across its own DNS infrastructure reveals a troubling pattern of fragmented trust. This article explores the technical implications of such selective protection and provides actionable guidance for security professionals to mitigate associated risks.
