RIGHT??? that monologue was so peak, one of the greatest in entire show 😭😭😭 and the way Amanai said that her heart was broken bc Tanaka as such an amazing person had his heart set on Shimizu and not Amanai is so poetic 😭😭😭 one of my fave moments 😭😭😭😭

The actual danger isn't some sort of 21st century Tanaka Memorial world conquest scheme. It's doing what Imperial Japan actually did: blundering your way through interventions at the whim of Twitter personalities (very akin 1930s self-radicalizing gekokujō, really) until you wind up in a massive war
I want you to understand that there is no grand conspiracy to suddenly annex the world. There are a bunch of dumbasses, some of whom do have baroque fantasies of doing just that sort of world conquest, running around and starting fires they have no idea how to quench before they get burned.
NATO just warned that Russia is prepping for a war to the scale orlf WW1/WW2. While Europe and NATO are busy helping USA will try to swing in to get Canada. Don't be naive. They aren't done.
