Hell yea!

Our hard work, our creative innovations are not tech’s gold mine.

The tech industry standard of exploitation and theft is not “progress”.

Our rights are to be respected and tech must to adapt to US!

We're not anti-tech, we're anti-theft. If the future of “innovation” depends on stealing creators’ work without asking or paying, that’s not progress - it's stealing, and we shouldn’t accept it. #StealingIsntInnovation www.stealingisntinnovation.com/

We need real innovation - not exploitation. When AI is trained on stolen creative works, everyone loses. Instead of culture, art, writing, and music, all we'll be left with is static and silence. #StealingIsntInnovation

Screenwriters generate billions in the economic value of culture around the world. Letting AI companies build products by stealing their work without authorization threatens jobs, livelihoods, and long-standing protections. #StealingIsntInnovation

There’s a reason people can tell when something “sounds AI-generated.” Writing comes from voice, experience, and intention, not scraped text. AI shouldn’t be allowed to steal writers’ work to imitate it. #StealingIsntInnovation

Good writing comes from voice, experience, and intention, not scraped text regurgitated by a chatbot. AI shouldn’t be allowed to steal writers’ work to imitate it. #StealingIsntInnovation

AI that *works for all* must include the writers, artists, and journalists who have not consented to their IP being used in the development of suicide helpers. @mark-carney.bsky.social @evansolomon.bsky.social

AI has many uses, but stealing shouldn’t be one of them. They stole my books and the work of many other artists. That’s not innovation — it’s exploitation.

Many of my works — books, code, articles — have been taken by LLMs ... without permission or attribution, violating copyrights and licenses. I don't write to enable such theft.

So I support #StealingIsntInnovation and the 1000s of other creators who have joined, www.stealingisntinnovation.com

I'm a technical person and worked in IT for several years. But as someone who has had six full-length novels stolen and used to "teach" AI, I'm not a fan of that particular technology. So I've signed on to #StealingIsntInnovation www.stealingisntinnovation.com

I'm not famous enough to sign, at this point. But as someone whose intellectual property was scraped by AI, I do support the cause: www.stealingisntinnovation.com

Big Tech is trying to change the law so they can keep stealing American artistry to build their Al businesses — without authorization and without paying the people who did the work.
That is wrong; it's un-American, and it's theft on a grand scale.
