At the warfare level, in the Ukraine/Russia War for example, the drones are running on nodes from 10 years ago. Cheap Chinese radxa sbcs. Edge ai does not require command/control from a data center with high end gpus. Trump is (supringsly) clueless.

Sometimes when I venture off into the land of ease and x86, away from SBCs with like 5-15W TDPs, I realize how much faster computing can be.
Then I look at power draw and efficiency and realize, yes, there's always tradeoffs!
But it is nice just... having things work.

I don't think RISC-V is moving slow. Catching up with Intel and ARM means they must go faster than them.
RISC-V has some interesting options for SBCs. There was a Kickstarter for a $20 RISC-V SBC (excluding tax and shipping).
2026 will be exciting for RISC-V.

I don't think RISC-V is moving slow. Catching up with Intel and ARM means they must go faster than them.

Better make sure you do every objective to get XP for the battle pass and fodder for SBCs or when a player you want releases you will end up having to spend real money on them.

Install Kismet on an OPI3 SBCs and deploy to border. Grab NIC from these drones during handshakes to 4G and then block the NICs further in country disabling it's access. Could disable this by using pure software.

And there's millions of copies of such models already in the wild. In offices, homes, on laptops, on SBCs.

I suppose so, yes - it’s pretty much the same principle. SBCs were also used to carry multiple incendiaries, particularly by Bomber Command against German cities. The Luftwaffe used a similar system.
