Whenever I see an anime sub/manga purist who *insists* that translations be direct and are staunchly anti-localization, this scene always plays in my head

I'm not being a weird "um YOU'RE not doing fanworks" purist when I say that it makes me uneasy when people view AO3 simply as a convenient, altruistic bucket for *writing,* equally good for original work; it's an *org* with *politics*

/ i love old-school patrick. i'm not a sponge purist per se but it felt like i could know that guy for real

opposing corruption, genocide, transphobia, and anti-immigration doesn't make you a purist nor does it make you "immature", Mussolini.

never tried making ranch from scratch like this but sounds like it could make this blue cheese purist a believer

I can't give up hope, but I sure as fuck don't know where to put it. It's absolutely not coming out of the purist left. Or maybe it is. But I'm not seeing it. The purge and build anew attitude isn't going anywhere without leaders, without power.

Every supposed “free speech” purist is an enemy of free speech.

ppl who go "i'd be a vegetarian but __"

just be a vegetarian but __. it's not about being a purist, it's about reducing as much harm as possible. there is no comittee of angry vegetarians that will hunt you down if you eat meat sometimes. even more so when it's for health reasons

#OTD 214 years ago, Knud Knudsen (1812–1895) was born 🎉 A Norwegian schoolteacher, language activist, and language purist, he advocated a reformed spelling of Norwegian, Riksmål, nowadays also known as Bokmål, so that it would reflect actual pronunciation.

As should the far left, but they don't. Which is my point. The people who are actually doing the harm are able to because the far left was purist about the election.

Personally I'm a purist when it comes to parm.
Try it and you will see what I'm talking about.

I do it because I love the game.
Trading is the purist form of competition.

I Wake up and outmaneuver others and execute. Then repeat this process every day.

Motivation is just a feeling. Passion lasts forever.

You prefer Praed to Connery.
Your mum prefers Flynn to Greene.
I, a purist, prefer Robin in the early gestes where the king is one of the Edwards and definitely ain't Richard.
A lot of people criticising this, but I am choosing to believe that this is finally the anti-Richard I film that England deserves.

For more local fare, Great Harvest Bread Co serves King Cake which is *technically* correct but a purist may scoff. 3 Brother's and Moeller's are more towards downtown but are solid. Chloe's Cajun Market (lol) is down in Webster but is fairly authentic. A lot of places will ship but watch the price.

The purist in me likes the Ortho, but the perspective view definitely feels a lot punchier. I think you're good either way. (Not helpful)
