I don’t think they have it anymore (thanks Meta!) but IG used to have a setting where you could restrict advertising from specific categories, like political stuff or pregnancy ads. Alcohol was one - would like if they brought that back and wrapped up all the sobriety stuff in it too

I've long thought that identity, more than class and religion as they're different facets and variations, is THE CORE of all politics! Going all the way back to the dawn of civilization with the first stratifications of society, and along gender lines because of the biological fact of pregnancy.

Babies whose mothers contracted SARS-CoV-2 during pregnancy were significantly more likely to have a neurodevelopmental disorder (16.3%) by age 3 than those who were not exposed (9.7%).

This finding is similar to results of several different types of maternal infections during pregnancy.

Similar with MS. An immune response during pregnancy improves symptoms.

There was one we had back during the Kid1 pregnancy that was decent. I'll see if I can remember what it was

"There is no way you're named after the volcano." Names carry meaning. Bakugou’s own name meant: Victorious fire lord. His mother spent her entire pregnancy praying to the gods to find the perfect name for him. Only someone incredibly powerful could be named after a force of nature.

See? You can still terminate a pregnancy after 20 weeks.
It all comes down to your moral compass...

Infants who received nirsevimab after birth experienced lower rates of RSV-related hospitalization and severe complications compared to those protected by maternal vaccination during pregnancy. doi.org/hbhbs2
Infants receiving nirsevimab fare better against RSV compared to those with maternal vaccination
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that affects the nose, throat, and lungs. For most healthy adults and children, it causes only mild, cold-like symptoms and goes away on its own.

Initially, I read this as a slightly unusual way of announcing pregnancy.
But now I realise, when it comes to many things, I am outside of the zeitgeist.

Infections during pregnancy and respiratory infections in the first years of life are never a good thing. We have known that for a while now.

But that's the new 'pro-life' argument: Women are NEVER at risk of death from any pregnancy.
In the 'pro-life' ethos: Women are totally disposable & at the mercy of any rapist. Their lives don't matter. Women's health is irrelevant. Women's well-being is SERVED by them dying of sepsis.

Incorrect. I did not adopt this scenario from "Pro-Choice advocates. I lived it as an Ob/Gyn. I worked in a high risk setting and saw many women's lives saved by termination of pregnancy.
As far as a "mill", Planned Parenthood is indeed a "mill" for the provision of many services to those in need.

*That* explains why I have a barely perceptible mark where I gave myself 2nd degree burns when I fell asleep with a heating pad treating period cramps between my first and second pregnancy! (I didn't feel the pad burning me in my sleep because of no nerves due to my C-section.)

You'd rather leave mothers to die, then. I still remember a nurse nun getting excommunicated for saving a woman from dying of eclampsia in a Catholic hospital here in America, and that's before pregnancy made you property of the state.

Diabetes now affects 1 in 6 pregnancies: What you need to know
This Friday, for World Diabetes Day, the UN is highlighting how the disease affects pregnancy, in line with this year’s global theme of managing diabetes “across life stages”. The organization has also launched its first-ever global guidelines on how to manage diabetes before, during and after pregnancy. “These guidelines are grounded in the realities of women’s lives and health needs, and provide clear, evidence-based strategies to deliver high-quality care for every woman, everywhere,” said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who heads the UN World Health Organization (

This is utterly unacceptable.

The Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child, an anti-abortion group with US funding, has been given access to Scottish schoolchildren to deliver ideologically driven talks, and even staged “drama” about pregnancy and healthcare choices.
