#MedCase - Pulmonary involvement in neonatal #lupus is extremely rare, but it is important to consider lupus pneumonitis in newborns with unexplained respiratory failure, especially if the mother has an autoimmune disease.

They found that patients with larger planning target volumes (PTVs > 300 cm3) had a significantly higher risk of radiation pneumonitis in the left lung compared to heart valve dysfunction, while this imbalance was less pronounced in patients with smaller PTVs.

I just went to a party masked in N95 bc that’s still how I roll these days. And I kinda had to go to this. In Aug I had drug-induced pneumonitis bc the drugs for my autoimmune diseases tanked my immune system. I’m ok but even a cold is bad news for me rn. Happily hosts & guests seemed to understand.

Association of Anti-Ro52 Seropositive Interstitial Lung Disease With a Higher Risk of Disease Progression and Mortality
Our results indicate that Anti-Ro52-seropositive ILD is associated with significantly worse progression-free and transplant-free survival and may inform disease prognostication and monitoring.
