Austin has this program too! It's a great way to encourage folks to make a safer choice to get home at the end of a night out.

I think I'm less intimidating than this line of rickshaws I saw waiting menacingly outside the theatre where 'The Lion King' plays tonight. But I don't know. I think I'd rather walk out of a building and be confronted by a 7' girl with blood round her lips than this evil wall of hyperstimulation!

My wife and late mother-in-law had a ride in one and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Pedicabs are irritating but also colourful and fun. I spend a fair bit of time in London and don’t see a great deal of them. Live and let live!

Am I the only Londoner who doesn’t hate pedicabs? Never been in one but kind of like the energy they bring.

Pedicabs should be a fun, green and unique way to explore London, but too often drivers behave antisocially or charge rip-off fares.

That's why @TfL is consulting on plans to regulate unlicensed pedicabs for the first time.

Have your say before Monday!

Two tourists with backpacks on non-electric bikes? The NYPD's speed radar clocked them going 25mph. A group of parked pedicabs? 9mph. So what's the point?

Two slowly ambling pedestrians were clocked at 19 miles per hour. So what's the point of this, exactly?

Oh, these goddamn "electric carriages." For fucks sake, no! Nothing on the park drives more powerful than electric-assist pedicabs.
The letter were sent on the heels of the Daily News reporting last week that Adams' recent decision to announce support for a horse carriage ban came after he and Mastro met with a prominent donor to the mayor who's seeking to build electric carriages. www.nydailynews.com/2025/10/07/n...

Wonderful! I hope the plan goes ahead so that West End shops can compete with the soul-less shopping malls springing up all over the place which also involve a great dea of walking. Please, though, don't allow cyclists, pedicabs etc; the only vehicles during shopping hours should be mobility ones.

There is a non-zero number of flag protesters currently being rinsed on tourist drives around the west end by South Asian migrant pedicab drivers.

As much as the pedicabs are a menace and should be banned, there is a pleasing irony to this situation.

The pedicabs are, to my taste, just a further example of the enshitification of employment & the economy.🤷‍♀️
