I managed to extract Pico-8 and Portmaster from PakUI and add them to my NextUI installation.
Added Pakman
Now my installation is everything I wanted (save maybe the lil BitPal guy).

Been using PakUI for a bit.
Pico-8 and Portmaster integration works great...!
But it's honestly too buggy. From wiping my roms randomly, to Game Switcher suddenly not working, I think I'll go back to NextUI.
I'll wait to see PakUI updates, but currently NextUI is just better overall.

Tried out PakUI's sleep mode.
NextUI's honestly works better. It's smoother and quicker.
It remains to be seen how the PakUI deep sleep saves battery. NextUI's is honestly pretty great.
Still gotta try Portmaster on PakUI

May be on vacation, but he never takes a break! Zu's taking a look at the latest NextUI update for the TrimUI Brick to see what's been upgraded.
Is it finally time to make the jump across on firmwares? Only Zu can tell-

So PakUI is pretty great on paper but it's pretty unstable overall.
I'm going back to NextUI for now. I'll definitely keep an eye out to see how it develops!

Think I'll give PakUI another day, but having my roms suddenly deleted isn't ideal lol.
It's really nice! Just needs more time to cook, I think.

I’ve been assessing headless UI component libraries that works with tailwindCSS. HeadlessUI, Catalyst, Radix, base-ui, NextUI, shadcn-ui Draft UI, etc. Perhaps with this starter kit i can wrap up the assessment and go bold with React Aria. Gotta take a closer look!
Just released our React Aria Components + Tailwind CSS starter kit! 🥳

Anyway, I’m going to give it another go with a manual installation and without the nextui cli.
Why does a component set even have a cli? 🤪

Using #NextUI is a mix of feelings, sometimes it's "Oh, that's great, it solved my problem" and sometimes it's "Oh no, I am gonna need to adapt so many things to make this work, it should be simpler"

Installed PakUI
I gotta say, having a more purposeful integration of WiFi and Pico-8 is really nice. Though I do prefer how boxart and the Game Switcher work in NextUI.
But the BitPal? Super fun! It’s like a fusion if a tamagotchi with retroachievements.

Maybe I should give it a shot

I think I'll just stay on PakUI. I respect what NextUI is doing and most people seem to prefer them. But I think I'm good with PakUI personally. Not as flashy, maybe. But more in tune with what I want. BitPal is also a genius idea.

I also had first crack at picking one out for myself to buy. I settled on the Trimui Brick, and I really like it! NextUI has a straightforward interface and you never feel like you're diving into the weeds, digging around in android apps to make the emulators work how you want them to
