Gratitude is a gift
We give ourselves
When we say, Yes, this.
This bird. Yes.
This flight. Yes.
This word. Yes.
This life. Yes.
This death. Yes.
This world. Yes.
Yes to all.
All is bliss.

I’ll look for it the next time I go to the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic Park!

That’s the ancestral grounds of Muscogee Nation & the Muscogee word for centipede is elesolkv (pronounced “el-ee-sol-guh”). If you get the chance to name it, may I suggest “Chomatobius elesolgus”? #elesolkv #Mvskoke

Atlanta’s Carlos Museum presents ‘Continuum,’ a celebration of Muscogee art
Gallery wall featuring a map connecting Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and Ocmulgee, Georgia, alongside framed artworks and Harjo’s audio station. (Image by Mike Jensen) Atlanta has a bad habit of starting its history around the Civil War. That's not an accusation — it's an observation from Miranda Kyle, curator of Indigenous Arts of the Americas at Emory's Michael C. Carlos Museum. And it's the engine behind "Continuum," the museum's current exhibition featuring more than 20 works by Muscogee (Creek) Nation artists Johnnie Diacon and Hotvlkuce Harjo. Kyle is careful with her language.

gov stitt is a liar. Muscogee (Creek) Nation Wildlife code reads almost word for word like the state statutes. There are only 2 notable differences, neither of which involve deer. But I suppose showing someone spotlighting an opossum wouldn't be as an effective lie.
