Maveth uses they or it pronouns, it doesn't fully understand gender as a concept, being a resurrected spirit inside a tiefling.

Except for big sister, the one who killed them all in Bhaal's name. Why didn't Clarisse kill Maveth? Because Clarisse saw them as too pathetic to kill, she left them, crying and whimpering until someone took them to the orphanage.
Clarisse got better of course, but Maveth never forgot.

I guess it would have to be Wyll now, they aren't sure if their feelings for him are romantic, but hes been so calmimg for Maveth.
