cant be bothered to find numbers but like. on dynasty reader at least, reimari and mariali have 9 pages of results. which IMO speaks moreso to mariali's peak popularity? alice's interaction with marisa hasn't been 'relevant' in the way that reimu's is in a While. but its still hangin on!

im fascinated by reimari being seen as The touhou ship nowadays, because back in the days I was initially getting into touhou fandom it never felt like it was especially dominant compared to anything else. mariali was what felt like The Big One to me

reimari didnt really overtake mariali in terms of popularity until like 2015 or so. there was a lot of maripatchy vs mariali back in the day tho

This may be hypocritical coming from someone whose favorite Touhou ships are the arguably messed up ones (Seiga x Yoshika, Kaguya x Mokou, Zanmu x Hisami, even Marisa x Alice considering its terrible reputation), but no, this isn't it.
