Linux Mint for me. I had power user days way back when - but work demanded windows during the quarantine so I never made it to Manjaro (Arch) like I was hoping to.
Now I just write and surf and watch the occasional video (I don't even play games anymore) so Mint is good enough for this old laptop.

Ich hab das fast alles auf Manjaro laufen. Ich mag Ubuntu nicht wirklich, aber ist natürlich eine gute Distri. Ich hatte mal vor Jahrzehnten mit Suse angefangen, dann Debian, dann Gentoo, jetzt Manjaro als bequeme Arch-basierte Distri.

I'm in with this assessment tho. I think Ubuntu overcomplicates Debian. Idk. I don't dislike the Uubs. I like Manjaro, I like that Bazzite is a thing. They're good things. I think newcomers might go to the Core systems later.

Tu entends quoi par populaire? Parce-que Manjaro est juste derrière Mint (qui d'ailleurs est très bien) chez Distrowatch en 2024. MX aussi semble vraiment pas mal.
Mais je ne fais pas de prosélytisme juste je parle de ce que je connais et installe souvent, parfois même sur des très vieux machins...

First time i ever experience linux tho was on Ubuntu, then tried Linux, POP os, Deepin, Manjaro KDE, Bazzite, Fedora, Elementary OS

Omarchy feels like a bloated Arch, stuffed with things very specific... like 1Password, obsidian and Pinta(?) 🤷♂️

Grande fille 17 ans en 1ère année de droit, tout sauf informaticienne, qui a eu un beau portable neuf il y a 3 semaines, m’a prié de TUER le Windows 11 qui était dessus et d’installer #Manjaro #Linux à la place, comme sur son ancienne machine.
