Fruity nose of black fruits with light wood, spices, coffee, earth, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn, light vegetables and black pepper. Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, black currants, licorice, light wood, spices, coffee, tobacco, dark chocolates, earth, vegetables, light tar and peppercorn. Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries. This 9 year old Syrah from Washington State is drinking very nicely now, and will continue to do so in the next few years. Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced and entertaining with a nice mouthfeel. Very complex at this point. Good right out of the bottle and better after 30 minutes of airtime. Wine Enthusiasts 90 points. I had this vintage 6 years ago, and it is drinking so much better now. It was well worth the wait. Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. A blend of 88% Syrah and 12% Grenache. Aged in (16% new) French Oak barrels. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $70.

Showing overripe citrus and apple fruits with oak, spices, light vanilla, herbs, tangerines, light honeysuckle, sea salt and white pepper. Nice length on the finish with herbs and dried fruits. This 9 year old Chardonnay is still drinking beautifully. So nice to see that. Complex and entertaining. Nicely balanced, and good by itself as a sipping wine. Rich and elegant, and still shows lots of fruits. Paired nicely with the Italian Prosciutto. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $25 (at release).

Sweet on the palate with yellow apples, orange juice, tangerines, and light spices. Short finish with ripe citrus fruits. This sweet sparkling is easy drinking and good as a dessert, all by itself. More complex on the palate than the nose, and better when properly chilled. Actually feels like a sweet sparkling wine with a touch of orange juice. A good alternative to Mimosa. 11.5% alcohol by volume. $30.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, limes, light watermelon, under ripe cherries, minerals, light yeast and spices. Long finish with tangy cranberries. This is a delicious Sparkling Rosé from Oregon. Elegant and nicely balanced. Fruit forward and easy drinking. Complex and entertaining. This 7 year old Sparkling is still young, but already drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the 5 to 7 years. I had the 2017 vintage a year ago and loved it as well. Good by itself as a sipping wine. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. Aged on the lees for 5 years. Disgorged in 2024. This is an easy drinking white wine from Arizona. Feels like a California Chardonnay with a touch of Rhone. Interesting stuff. This Single Vineyard Marsanne needs some time in the bottle to mature properly, but already very approachable. Spicy and interesting, with mild complexity.
