She kept it at instrumentals, fingers lazily working the eight-string in her hands.

For now.
He's listening but reading.
She's playing guitar in the common room again.

Yes it's excellent. Glen Brown made some great instrumentals. Have you got the vocal and DJ compilations too? All 3 have various versions of Dirty Harry.

If it’s pure piano, I really like Ludovico Einaudi and Yann Tiersen. LE finally got his flowers a few years ago when one of his songs was used for tik tok edits. Yann did the Amelie soundtrack (flawless. My fave movie).

If violin is also allowed, sleeping at lasts instrumentals are gorgeous.

Dirty Harry is one of my favourite reggae instrumentals. It was produced by Glen Brown and features Richard Hall and Tommy McCook on saxophones.

When playing this 7" I'm always wary of the heavy bass drop on 17 secs... 💣💥

Playlist hack for writers who need music for every scene. Start with 3 book playlists:

1. Soundtrack - dump all the songs with lyrics into this one

2. Score - all the instrumentals into this one

3. Official - as you write, move what you're listening to into this. Now it's in chronological order 😌

in particular: the android, which had 5 distinct versions, really stands out to me as one of my finest in terms of my early songwriting but also as one of the coolest instrumentals i ever produced. also i really was crying when i was recording it and u can hear that

"Two weeks later, as a soloist, he recorded "Guitar Blues" and "Guitar Rag", the first blues guitar instrumentals. Both recordings were released by Okeh Records. They are the first recorded country blues, and the first known recordings of a bottleneck-style slide guitar."
