The following day they're obviously teamed up. Vlad is dragging Merrik by the wrist through the rubble of a city, leading him to a gigantic sink hole, from which is spewing some thick green gas. Vladi: Ins't this the biggest drop-holer you've ever seen? M: Vladi we're really out in the open here I don't think-- Vladi: quit worrying, we'll only be here a sec! M: Vladi we should hea dback, someone's gonna hear us... Vladi: I saw someone fall down one the other day... d'you ever wonder what's down there? I heard its an ancient abandoned city fulla-- From the shadows, someone throws a flashbang. Vladi: What the-- There's an explosion and the two are knocked back, down the into the vast sinkhole. The bottom of the hole is dark and green glowing crystals and thick gas. Merrik wake sup to find Vladi has gone. His oxygen pack is smashed open, and his gas mask is discarded. guttural howls echo around as Merrik picks himself up. M: ugh.Vladi, are you there? Vlaaaad? This isn't funny, are you down here? If you can hear me, I gotta go. Right now., I'm low on oxygen, I've gotta get out of here. Merrik is exploring the undergound here. as we see the guage on his oxygen pack slowly running out until totally empty. M: Ok... out of oxygen. don't panic, If you panic, it'll make it wors-- khaff!! he's overcome with a coughing fit, as the gasses start to take effect.

Sam nodded and headed for the deck. Several howls made him look up as he descended the stairs to see pirates slide down the wires onto the deck, into the waiting sights of the crew. Shots rang out and pulses of yellow, red, green, purple and blue light hit several pirates mid-slide, making them lose grip and tumble off towards the cavern floor. A few impacted the side of the Silverbrow on the way down, making dull thudding noises that made Sam cringe. He hurried towards the first cable and hacked at it with the scimitar on his left. He ignored the burning in his shoulder and across his chest. It resisted for three quick chops before springing free. The tip whipped back towards the sloop, but not before clipping him on his left side, just below the ribs. Pain stung him and he doubled over for a second. He felt warmth spread on that side. “You good?” he heard Clarence call out while firing upwards at more descending pirates. Sam straightened up and headed for the next cable. “Yeah, just a scratch!” he said, half-running, half-limping towards the next cable head. A blond bearded pirate holding a sword and an axe landed in front of him and blockaded his target. The pirate roared in enthusiasm and charged, so Sam brought up the rifle, pointed at the charging pirate and held down the trigger.
