sunsoft also made galaxy fight, sugoi hebereke, and astra superstars! I didn't play sugoi hebereke but I think waku waku 7 is the best one of those that I've played. galaxy fight has really interesting visuals and presentation that I love a lot but it... felt weird to play

If you want a cozy early Metroidvania, there's Hebereke Enjoy Edition!
One small caveat: it's in Japanese. You can set the menu language to English on the first screen, and check equivalent screens' English translations, but not live in-game as they happen.
Took about ~4h to 100%.

i love too much from the nes though. top tier system. some other things i like a lot are power blade, cv3, crystalis, kick master, low g man, mighty final fight, nekketsu monogatari, zelda1/2, metal storm, blaster master, little samson, kid icarus, hebereke, recca. just so much good to play
