After having to confront my father about his lack of COVID consciousness, he's threatened to toss me out of the house outright.

Hopefully he doesn't act on that, but things being what they are, been long time to start moving towards archiving and redistributing old stuff as needed or desired.

I live in a tri and sometimes quadri-lingual context, so I use tools like deepl and google translate quite often. Please beware, deepl has a new AI translater that just makes up crap, in my case a petition with a link that goes to a fishing website. Avoid at all costs.

We shouldn’t have to debate who “deserves” food, healthcare and housing.

We should be angry that these things aren’t guaranteed to everyone.

We should be outraged that the wealthy & corporations continue to profit off the misery and suffering of others.

I think Vampire Survivors and similar games out there that have very short time limits on individual runs are doing something really cool that people working on narrative-heavy games are missing out on

I think it would be awesome to do a dense narrative game with a tight gameplay loop like that

I'll never understand how so many people got conned into hating the idea of universal healthcare.
Say you pay 20% more in taxes.
Your employer pays you more because no insurance.
You never see a doctor, lab or out of network specialist bill again.
You have a low copay for drugs.
Isn't that worth it?

so many got through life with no curiosity about ADHD until asked to accommodate neurodivergent folks in ways they're unaccustomed to

acknowledging that they're on the hook for doing that extra emotional work upsets the hierarchy they're used to leveraging towards meeting their OWN emotional needs

some significant part of this is just catch-all fear for “this is not the child I ordered” I think
Oh, here's a big surprise. The transphobes don't believe in ADHD either.
then, the transphobes , feeling victorious at how many people they have made unhappy and despairing in the previous week, move on to anything else that has a spectrum and the possibility of more colours than they can conceive - such hateful people - they cannot understand anything that is not THEM
