We take w/c users in the field - they don't have to just be remote! Definitely worth a chat with @bakingsodavolc.bsky.social (GeoSPACE PI) about accessible field work. Lots of available adaptive equip. but will depends on the site and the user: third wheels or mats for rough ground, for example.

## Hyper-Resolution Magnetohydrodynamic Instability Mapping via Adaptive Sparse Reconstruction in Geospace Tail
**Abstract:** Current methods for mapping magnetohydrodynamic instabilities within the Earth's geospace tail, crucial for understanding space weather precursors, suffer from limited spatial resolution and computational cost. This proposal introduces a novel framework employing Adaptive Sparse Reconstruction (ASR) applied to multi-satellite magnetometer and plasma instrument data. By leveraging highly optimized compressive sensing algorithms and incorporating physics-informed sparsity constraints, ASR achieves a 10x improvement in spatial resolution while maintaining comparable computational expense to existing techniques.

Mastodon friends-- today has been a net positive day for much American science.

And a day not so good in many other ways. (🙏MN)

But by a whopping 82-15 margin, the USA Senate thinks that American science is worth keeping […]

What's going on in geospace? We are under the influence of CH10-, and we have solar wind speeds > 650 km/s.

There may have been a small CME impact recently or it's just a random transient flux rope, but at least two CMEs may impact in the next 24-48 hours and enhance conditions to G1-G2 levels.
