As soon as I saw this Dashwood Studio needlecord fabric, I had to buy some. The colours and flowers remind me of a 70's print. However at full price I could only justify getting one metre so had to be inventive with the design. #sewist #dressmaking #slowfashion #sewsky #sewing #garmentmaking

Progress on my black & white polka dot dress from Simplicity 2587! Basted, now adjustments. There's always so much to wash, press, prep, cut, pin, baste, fit, line, interface before there is ACTUAL sewing. Hope to make a pair of polka dot pants still for Aug but 1 step at a time #sewsky! 🧵💪🏻

How it ended! On/off 2 weeks work sewing a deceptively simple top properly with all the proper fits & seam bindings but now I have a neutral tank to replace all the faded black ones that no longer matched. SEW excited!

Me in my black and white polka dot tank top sewn by me! This is just the right fit and can replace all the faded black tank tops that no longer matched my black bottoms. Me excited about my black and white polka dot tank top sewn by me! The princess seams are really flattering and hide my problem areas along with the surprising neutral pattern. A deceptively casual top! Actually created a back seam to take in this black and white polka tank top for a more fitted style yet the slight flair at the front remains loose and hides the problem areas. All this was sewn pretty on the inside, too!

Finished my 3rd pair of Lander Pants today! This time I opted for a zipper instead of all buttons, and I'm a huge fan of the look. They fit great standing up, but quite tight when seated. 😑

I like to plan out my next project while I work on the current one. I know it’s risky but it’s been motivating for me to finish what I’m working on so I can move on to the exciting new project.

Spent some time this morning working on one of my crochet projects! This yarn has a lovely texture and is a nightmare of tangles so it’s taking forever. I tried putting it in a little bowl and that has not helped.
