A 3-D printed spinning wheel bobbin (for a Lendrum using a WooLee Winder) full to the brim of a 2-ply yarn. Both plies are Rambouillet naturally dyed in 2 different shades of purple. Also shown is a different, larger 3D printed spinning wheel bobbin (for a Daedalus Starling espinner showing all that remains of the singles I had more of. I didn’t measure it out, but it is probably a few yards at most.

get my hands back in shape for the rest of the fleece, get me back into a habit & make a nice rustic hat or something useful out here in the woods. Using my Lendrum-inspired eSpinner I designed & printed starting back in ‘19 & has undergone revisions to last year so it’s nearly perfect for my use.

Picked up some alpaca roving, and an e spinner and got some free wool as a gift with the spinner. Practicing on the BFL I trained on with the spindle first but cannot wait to try this alpaca

I do, and I don't think I do - at least not in general. I adore my spindles and I use them frequently because they're easy to pick up/put down. I'm reducing my wheel herd - will keep only the CPW. And the espinner for plying or anything I want to do FAST.

Managed to successfully ply the cinnamon and black alpaca onto itself and mostly fill up my first full bobbin 💪 🧶

Still a decent amount of inconsistency with some much thinner spots here and there but overall I'm jazzed. Time to skein it up and soak

lol, I started out with a floor loom but then moved and the loom had to go into storage. So then I bought a rigid heddle loom, and another one, and an espinner because my wheel was also in storage, and now three supported spindles and two drop spindles. Sewing machine is still in storage 😢
